As a Black American, I never imagined I’d find myself in Eastern Europe — yet here in Warsaw, I’ve met other Africans and Black Americans who are building good lives. The city is clean, family-friendly, and far safer than what I left behind in the U.S. As a single mother, I feel peace raising my daughter here, and she absolutely loves it. Poland wasn’t a place I ever saw coming, but it’s become a blessing — a reminder that sometimes the safest and most promising opportunities are in the places we least expect.
