For many people, the United States has been called the land of the free. But over the years, more and more families, single parents, and even young professionals have started looking for freedom outside of its borders. I know this, because I’m one of them — and I’ve helped others make the same move. So, why are people leaving?
Rent, groceries, healthcare, childcare — everything costs more each year. In many other countries, you can live comfortably on a fraction of what it takes to survive in the U.S. People are realizing they don’t have to work themselves into exhaustion just to keep the lights on.
From rising crime rates in certain areas to mass shootings, a lot of parents don’t feel safe raising their kids here anymore. They want a place where their children can play outside without constant fear.
In the U.S., the culture often glorifies overworking. In many other countries, life moves at a healthier pace — with longer vacations, shorter workweeks, and more time to spend with family.
For many Americans, even with insurance, a single medical bill can cause debt for years. Some countries offer affordable or even free healthcare — making life less stressful and more secure.
Life in the U.S. can feel fast, noisy, and overwhelming. Some people want a slower, more peaceful way of living — close to nature, close to community, and far from constant political and social tension.
For some, like me, leaving is also about spiritual obedience — escaping “Babylon” and living in a place where faith, culture, and values feel more aligned with their calling.
Leaving the U.S. isn’t about giving up. It’s about choosing a life where you can breathe, live within your means, and raise your children in peace. The first step is believing it’s possible. The next step is planning. If you feel the timepull to leave, you’re not alone. I’m here to help guide you through the process — from the first thought to in peace.
